First Entry

Well new to all this, to be honest it is more of an opportunity for me to catch my thoughts, but if anyone else is interested - Enjoy!

Flew over to Amsterdam from Heathrow yesterday. I was upgraded, no idea why, however it was a much more pleasing experience than the way that you are normally treated in cattle class. On the other hand my Taxi wasnt there to pick me up at the airport. Not really a bad thing, its very nice to trundle through the country and you can normally see a lot more from a train.

To paraphrase Noel Coward, very flat the Netherlands.

Anyway arrived in RotterDamn about sevenish foreign time, couldnt be bothered to go out, so room serviced. Peppered Steak in a brandy and cream sauce, asparagus and chips. Steak reasonable, sauce appauling, asparagus good, and the chips were fantastic.

Anyway now onto Tuesday. Awoke at 08:00 Foreign time. Washed, dressed, went down to break fast, melon, and croissants, quite often they burn these, however today they were perfect, lovely coffee.

Sauntered down the street into work, busy bunny.

Anyway fled the building for lunch just to get some air, did a touch of shopping, I would say that overall there is less choice in the supermarkets in the Netherlands, however of course much of what they have in them is different from back home.

Enjoyed a Turkish pizza for lunch (flatbread with something red and salad inside it), very pleasing.

Back to work - today we have listened to:

Happy Birthday (the Album) by Altered Images - Dont know if the extra tracks are really necessary, however I was dead glad that they released it on CD. Saw Clair on an 80's tour, promoted as Altered Images, wouldnt have bothered if I had known that it was going to be a Kareoke session.

Back in the DHSS by Half man Half biscuit - One of the top albums of the 80's purchased the vinyl back then, but the CD comes with the Trumpton riots EP on it as well. Stunningly good.
